Time Is Not My Friend pt2 (AKA the one in which Emily turns up more than 15 minutes late, and she doesn’t even have Starbucks)

So, I know I claimed the hiatus was over. I remember. And then I haven’t said much else since. I remember that too. But life and time are weird and they do strange things

As I said last time I was here, time is super weird. The way it passes at different speeds in different places, all depending on your mood and the weather and how much you ate for breakfast that morning, or if you even ate breakfast at all.

Time has always seemed like an oppressive force in my life. I never had enough, or it wouldn’t quite move fast enough. And over the past few months it’s felt that way even more so, as many people I care about move away and move on in their lives I’ve been left behind, unable to find a way of moving forward. I mentioned last time that I didn’t know how to feel about that. I’d like to say I have a clearer picture of my feelings on that, but I still really have no clue. Sometimes it’s like emotions are like trying to decipher the future from runes. They’re there, and they are definitely trying to say something, but I’m struggling to read exactly what.

But I’m trying my best. Or at least trying to try my best, because it all gets a bit exhausting kinda quickly. But I’m here now to say I’m doing things, stuff is being planned or made or whatever, so I thought I would share.

First, I made a film with Kat from Blink.Whiskers, which you can watch  here

This was a project that combined two.of my favourite things – fairy tales and fake blood. We’re hoping to make this a series, so keep an eye out for more over the next year! For more info about the process of making this, check out Kat’s blog

I also finished a short story, which I haven’t posted anywhere, but I may upload to this blog once I’ve finished editing. It’s something I’ve been working on for a while and I’m quite proud of it, like me it’s a little strange and more than a little queer.

Podcasts! I’ve been developing those beautiful things! Norse Encounters is back on the planner, and the second episode should be up within the next couple weeks. Also new podcasts, including an Avatar the Last Airbender rewatch podcast I’ve started with my brother. Uploads will start in the New Year, but you can follow us on twitter or tumblr @podbending for any updates!

So there are some things. And there are more things, but they are less concrete. Once they are more pavement-like you all will be the first to know, but for now, time ain’t waiting. So I gotta go.

Till next time, whenever that is,
